Replacing the sample content

Every name, price, statistic and testimonial in a template is invented. All of it has to be replaced before you launch.

Every template ships full of realistic sample content: business names, prices, statistics, testimonials, staff, and in some cases entire research findings. None of it is real.

It is written to look plausible so you can see how the layout behaves with real-length content. That is exactly what makes it dangerous to leave in. A page full of invented statistics looks researched, and a launched site that still says "Reserve Studio" or quotes a made-up satisfaction rate is worse than an empty page.

Each template's README has a "Replace before launch" section listing what is invented in that particular one. Read it before you go live.

Pay particular attention to

• Numbers and percentages. Anything that reads as a finding or a statistic.
• Testimonials and names. Invented people saying invented things.
• Prices. Placeholder amounts in a currency that may not be yours.
• Claims that carry legal or health weight. Some templates include copy that a regulator would care about. Have the relevant professional review it.
