Using your own domain

You buy the domain from a registrar and point it at your host. Nothing about the template changes when you do.

Buy the domain from any registrar, then point it at whichever host you used. The template itself needs no changes.

A .ph domain is the usual choice for a Philippine business and generally costs a few hundred pesos a year. A .com works equally well and is often cheaper. Neither is better for search.

The one thing worth checking

If your pages link to each other with absolute addresses that include the old subdomain, they will keep pointing at it after you move. Templates here use relative links precisely so this does not happen, but if you have edited the links yourself, search the folder for the old address before you switch.

Give it time

A domain change can take a few hours to be visible everywhere. If the old address still loads for you after switching, it is usually your own browser or network cache rather than a broken setup.
